Dr. Jay Klusky,
Educator
Dr. Jay Klusky, author of "Easy A's: Winning the School Game," received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from UCLA in 1990. In 2002 he received his Black Belt in the "Principles of Engagement," the martial and philosophical art system founded by Dr. James R. Samuels. In the Fall of 1980, while still an undergraduate at Portland State University, Dr. Klusky created his first learning skills program and since that time has been teaching students of all ages how to improve their relationships and get what they want through education.
Dr. Klusky has lectured at universities, developed and administered alternative high schools for youth considered at-risk, designed programming for those considered talented and gifted, and taught classes for students of all ages. Today, blending his academic, martial and philosophical backgrounds he is teaching youth how to enhance their performance academically, athletically and artistically, and so make the most of their talents and opportunities.
Currently he is consulting and teaching in the greater Portland metropolitan area. (That's Portland, OR.)
